After graduating from the University of Delaware's Nursing Program in 1997, Melissa spent the first years of her professional life working as a Registered Nurse at Christiana Hospital in Delaware and thereafter at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.
In 2001, Melissa began working alongside Mr. Ahlstrom in our firm's nursing home, assisted living and medical negligence practice. Possessing a keen insight into nursing home and other health care issues, Melissa is involved in the development of our clients' cases from the initial client interview until conclusion.
Clients often comment just how much they appreciate Melissa's understanding of their situation, and how accessible and easy she is to speak with. Melissa's communication skills are also clearly evident when she speaks to various groups, including other professionals, about long term care negligence issues. She lives with her husband and two young sons in Lisbon, Maryland.
